according to our BK, he kicked the dustbin which flew a distance so that the freshie who was going to run into it will not be injured (by the dustbin). poor ivan that suffered a bruise on his shin. which got worse a few days later, and he ended up in a wheelchair, cos he was lazy to carry the clutches.
